Hey Butterlords!I am a long time player of the franchise, and I love it. Thousands of hours in, and it's still my favorite game of all time! I am in need of help!I never really played any mods, because I have a very particular set of tastes. I love the native feel, but after 1500 hours on native warband alone, I am looking for a slight boost! Nothing too crazy, I enjoy the natural game a ton, but I am looking for a slight change to improve the base game! I am looking more for mods that are like 'unofficial patches'; ones that fix bugs, improve general enjoyment, and improve the game's natural features! Now I like the difficulty of the game, so a mod like Vexed where things are easier and less grindy are no fun to me!Looking for all suggestions for Warband only!
Floris mod is good if you like a vanilla expansion. Around suno and praven there are looters that are VERY weak. Though I suggest 'enlisting' in a kings army, this gets you free gear, good rep with lord of that faction and t he ability to challenge the king if you get enough rtr and renown/ friends. Happy raiding!-Bat. Depends on your flavor.Floris is essentially 'Native Expanded' - it's like Native, but with a million things added. It is, essentially, the definition of feature bloat - but that's not entirely a bad thing.
It has pretty much anything you can imagine in it. If you want endless variety of enemies and weird mercenaries and unit trees so sprawling that you need a map to navigate them, all built on the Native systems, then Floris is an excellent choice. If I had to give it a downside, it's that there's a huge variety of artstyles present in the mod - often clashing and bizarre.Silverstag is made by part of the same people who made Floris, and it is more of a 'Native Overhaul' - changing pretty much all the underlying systems, but with the ultimate goal of keeping things close to native and with a consistent aesthetic to the whole mod.
Recruitment is very different, with a population system and no unit upgrades (instead you recruit the specific unit you want, with the unit being either a 'peasant', low-tier unit, a 'mercenary' mid-tier unit, or a 'veteran' high-tier unit), but many of the systems are simply improved versions of Native. I recommend the 0.30 beta version over the 0.26 stable, as the beta standardizes and balances the troop trees.

The only broken part are tournaments in it, that I've noticed. And one specific Sarranid hat.Diplomacy is literally just Native with improved diplomatic options. It's included by default in pretty much every mod, but is still nice if you want to stay as close to Native as physically possible.Freelancer lets you play as a soldier in a lord's army - similarly to Diplomacy, it tends to get stuck in other mods. Some give it a surprising amount of depth, but those are mostly larger-scale mods than you're looking for. Other than that, I don't think it has any changes.
How Do You Download Warband Mods
I think it's included in both Silverstag and Floris - it's definitely in the latter.Persistant Troop Identities is virtually identical to Diplomacy (which is to say it's built on Diplomacy), but gives you the ability to view the names, history, and other details about the individual soldiers in your army. It is, essentially, an AAR-generator - write stories about your soldiers and cry when they die! It's a very depressing mod, but adds so much to your army just through giving them names. You can also optionally allow your troops to loot the dead, gradually building their own unique 'look'.
Warband Mods For Native
The best Native-based mod remains Floris imho. There's a new version called 'Evolved', or you can get the old 2.55 Extended which is still as good. I'd say it's generally slightly harder than Native (due to good troops being much higher level and thus difficult to acquire and keep, unlike Native where you can spam Knights/Mamlukes/Huscarls after 3 days of training) but not crazily so.If Floris changes too many things for you, there's Diplomacy, can't do lighter than that - it mostly adds some Quality of Life things and improve things on the politics/management side of the game. It's so light that it's savegame-compatible with Native, whereas most mods will require you to start anew. Diplomacy's features are included in almost every mod out there btw.
